Linn Svensson (b. 1991, Karlstad, Sweden) is a textile artist who mainly produces works in embroidery and quilt techniques. Her present practice centers around figuration and narrative, expressed through both drawings and conventional textile handicraft.
In her chosen mediums, she creates compositions portraying people in varying landscapes, such as cityscapes, offices or desolate voids. Lately, she has produced artworks reflecting on subject matter relating to gender, identity, social constructions and social hierarchies. Both subject matter, materials and techniques are meant to impact the viewers interpretation of the artwork.
Linn currently lives and works in Oslo where she recently completed an MFA at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. She also has a BFA of graphic arts from the same academy and an academic master’s degree from Oslo Metropolitan University. Her artworks have been exhibited at Årsutstillingen (2024), Statens Kunstutstilling (2025), and are part of the art collections of Equinor, Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum and Kunst på Arbeidsplassen. Her artworks will soon also be part of Østlandsutstillingen (2026).
